Structure design

  • Cylindrical structure: Mostly cylindrical designs are adopted. Commonly seen are double-cylinder and single-cylinder structures. The double-cylinder shock absorber has two cylinders, inner and outer. The piston moves in the inner cylinder. Between the inner and outer cylinders, flow valves and compensation valves are used to maintain the oil balance. This structure can provide better stability and cushioning performance and is suitable for various road conditions. The single-cylinder shock absorber is relatively simple. The floating piston at the bottom can automatically adapt to the oil level changes caused by the entry and exit of the piston rod and has characteristics such as fast response speed.
  • Valve system: Equipped with compression valves, extension valves, flow valves, and compensation valves. During the compression stroke, the compression valve and flow valve control the flow of oil to make the shock absorber generate a smaller damping force to give full play to the buffering role of the elastic element. During the extension stroke, the extension valve and compensation valve come into play to generate a larger damping force and quickly attenuate vibrations.
  • Piston rod and piston: The piston rod needs to have sufficient strength and wear resistance to withstand frequent reciprocating motions and pressures. The size and shape of the orifice on the piston are carefully designed and work in coordination with the valve system to control the flow and pressure of the oil to generate an appropriate damping force.
