The airbag made of high-strength rubber is used as the main elastic element. Its shape and size are custom-designed according to the suspension system space and load-bearing requirements of the DAF CF/XF series trucks to ensure a perfect fit for the vehicle's installation position and provide stable support and shock absorption effects. For example, the shape of the airbag may be cylindrical, oval, or other special shapes to meet the force requirements of different parts.
The airbag is generally composed of multiple layers of rubber and cord layers. The rubber layer provides sealing and elasticity, while the cord layer enhances the strength and fatigue resistance of the airbag, enabling it to withstand various dynamic loads during vehicle driving and prolonging its service life.
The ends of air springs are usually equipped with metal connectors for firm connection with the vehicle's suspension system and frame. These connectors are specially designed and treated to ensure that the air spring will not loosen or fall off during operation, ensuring the stability and reliability of the suspension system.
